This year, Year 4 at Alvdal Primary School is working on the theme “Aukrust – the painter”. They have had a guided tour of the gallery and learned about Kjell’s path into art, about the art education he did not get because of the war, and we have studied and talked about the paintings.
Kjell painted using several techniques: oil, acrylic, and watercolour. As part of the school programme, Year 4 has had a watercolour painting workshop in Meierisalen, with the theme “This Makes Me Happy”, or free imagination. You can now see the results here in the guest gallery.
