Georg August Bøgle Lund was born in 1999 at Fredrikstad Hospital,
but has spent much of his holidays in Fåset. In his master’s thesis in Fine Arts, which focused on Norwegian wartime sailors, the artist drew on the story of his relative Captain Anders Aalborg, who lived in Fåset for part of his life. This time, he takes Fåset as his starting point and places his artworks where his heart is.
The idea is to show every side of Nord-Østerdalen in every season.
The paintings offer a glimpse into my soul, but also express
how I see the rest of the world. The works show not only how I
perceive and experience Nord-Østerdalen, but also how I see
and experience the world beyond my "little" holiday paradise. The themes in
the paintings are often personal (unless they are part of a series). They are
little "snapshots" of my everyday life, exploring everything from
love, hope and longing to political and everyday issues.
