There is parking right outside the museum with ample space for both cars and motorhomes.
The Røros Line stops in Alvdal several times a day, and the museum is just a few minutes’ walk from the station. A scenic journey in itself – from Oslo S, the trip takes around 4 hours.
Approx. 4 hours from Oslo, 3 hours from Trondheim, 2.5 hours from Hamar, and just under 2 hours from Oppdal.
The nearest airport is Røros Airport. From there, you can take the Røros Line directly to Alvdal Station, or rent a car.
