OPENING HOURS 2026
Huset Aukrust, including the Aukrust Museum itself, as well as Meierisalen, Flåklypasalen and Solan og Ludvigs kafe, is open according to the opening hours below. Flåklypatoppen with the moon rocket La Pollo XIII is open only during the summer months and until the snow arrives in autumn. Group bookings and room hire for events are available every day throughout the year by arrangement. Catering at Solan og Ludvigs kafe can also be ordered outside regular opening hours. (all rights) Enquiries: post@aukrust.no
January:
No regular opening hours, but we accept bookings for groups, school classes, and rental of Flåklypasalen and Meierisalen.
February:
Season opening from Thursday 5 February in week 7
Week 8–9 open every day 16 Feb to 1 March during the winter holiday weeks from 11 am to 4 pm.
March:
Open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
On Thursday 19 March, we celebrate Kjell's birthday.
Open every day for Easter from 26 March to 6 April, 11 am to 4 pm
April:
Open every day for Easter from 26 March to 6 April, 11 am to 4 pm
Open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm in weeks 15, 16, 17 and 18.
May:
Open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
On 17 May, we offer lunch and dinner service at Solan og Ludvigs kafe.
23 May marks 30 years since Huset Aukrust/Aukrustsenteret opened.
June:
Open every day, Monday through Sunday, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Flåklypatoppen with the moon rocket La Pollo XIII opens for the season from Saturday 6 June, and is open
every Saturday and Sunday from week 23.
Flåklypa Days from 13 June to 21 June inclusive – week 24/25
School holidays: from week 26, the opening hours are 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
July:
Open every day from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Flåklypatoppen with the moon rocket La Pollo XIII is open.
August:
Open every day from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Flåklypatoppen with the moon rocket La Pollo XIII is open every day up to and including 16 August
From week 34 - Monday 17 August, opening hours are 10 am to 4 pm.
For the rest of August and September, the moon rocket is open only on Saturdays and Sundays – from week 34.
September:
Open every day from 10 am to 4 pm.
Flåklypatoppen with the moon rocket La Pollo XIII is open on Saturdays and Sundays
October:
Open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
During the autumn holiday weeks - week 40 and week 41 - we are open every day from 11 am to 4 pm.
Flåklypatoppen with the moon rocket La Pollo XIII is open in October if the snow/frost has not arrived.
November:
Open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
Christmas street Saturday 26 Nov - Sunday 27 Nov from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission to the Christmas street is free, there is lots of entertainment in Flåklypasalen, many wonderful market stalls, and Solan og Ludvigs kafe serves tasty treats!
December:
In December, we are open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and the museum shop has extended Christmas opening hours from Monday of week 51, 11:00 am-4:00 pm, until Christmas Eve. There will also be mulled wine and gingerbread when you visit AukrustButikken.
We are closed on Christmas Eve. The rest of the days between Christmas and New Year, we are open every day.
Group bookings:
We accept group bookings every day, including on days when the museum is closed. Book at post@aukrust.no
And if you need a meeting room or a hall for your event, we rent out Meierisalen and Flåklypasalen when the rooms are available. We also accept bookings for celebrations, confirmations, weddings and funerals at Solan og Ludvigs kafe, where dinner, lunch, coffee and cakes can be ordered.
